New from Meredith Dodson

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that my short story, “The Memory of Skin,” is in the newest Quiddity. Here’s a link where you can listen to me read it. And no, I wasn’t thinking clearly when I submitted the picture.

I’ve started getting serious about my mermaid novel, so that’s mostly what I’ve been working on lately. Let me know if you want to trade readings of chapters or shorts!

Just to let you all know I have two poems out in the newest Tidal Basin Review and will be reading with other contributors at an off-site AWP event for the magazine at 8:00 pm on Thursday at the African-American Civil War Memorial and Museum’s new location, 1925 Vermont Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20001 (off the Metro Green line). Hope to see some of you there!

News from Ashlee Adams Crews

Hope everyone is doing well. Miss you all. My story, “Called Out,” was published in The Southern Review. My story, “Bull of the Woods,” is forthcoming in Prairie Schooner. I am on a third major revision of my novel. And I plan to send it off to agents at the end of the month. Been getting lots of rejection letters. The encouraging ones are nailed to the wall in my writing cave. Keep writing. Keep sending.
