Startling Figures: A Celebration of the Legacy of Flannery O’Connor
We’ve been busy this spring, especially with all of our new applicants for the MFA program. We’re still finalizing our incoming fall 2011 class. But we’re happy to report that this week, Georgia College is sponsoring a conference: Startling Figures: A Celebration of the Legacy of Flannery O’Connor. From April 13 to April 16, academics from all over the world are descending upon Milledgeville to present papers on Flannery O’Connor. In addition, we are pleased to welcome four well-known writers who are reading from their works: E.L. Doctorow, Kathryn Stripling Byer, Marianne Boruch, and Tom Franklin. For reading times, please check the conference schedule. And if you can join us, please do.
