We would like to take the opportunity to invite all of our GCSU alumni and friends of the program to our GCSU AWP Reception on Friday, February 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. in lobby level room Delaware B, at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C. As you know, our receptions are an annual tradition, and this year we plan on having a lot of fun. Please come join us for hors d’oeuvres and drinks in our private party. Afterwards, we’ll head off to the GCSU-sponsored reading by Junot Diaz (who, unfortunately, will not be attending our reception). Junot Diaz is author of Pulitzer-prize-winning novel The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and the collection of short stories Drown; he will be reading at 8:30 p.m. in the Marriott Wardman Park Ballroom on the lobby level, with an introduction by Karen McElmurray.

Also, don’t miss our current ads in Poets & Writers and the AWP Writer’s Chronicle, announcing our booth (105) at AWP. If you can’t make it to our reception, please drop by our booth and say hello. We’d love to see all of you in D.C.
